Summer School Registration

The Arnamagnæan Institute is pleased to announce that the next edition of the Summer School in Scandinavian Manuscript Studies will take place at the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics in Copenhagen, 12-23 August 2019.

This two-week intensive summer school, focused on working with medieval and early-modern Scandinavian manuscripts, comprises both lectures and practical sessions. The courses are intended chiefly for graduate students (MA/PhD-level) but may also be of interest to more established scholars hoping to improve their manuscript reading and editorial skills. Some background in Old Norse is essential. Familiarity with one or more of the modern Scandinavian languages is an advantage, but is not required, as all teaching will be in English.

The registration deadline is 1 April 2019.
