East Norse, Philology, Manuscript Studies, Conference, Call for Papers

The third conference from the Society for East Norse Philology takes place in Copenhagen 18-20 October 2017. Deadline for abstracts (250 words) is 13 March 2017.

The Society for East Norse Philology’s third biennial international conference will be held in Copenhagen 18–20 October 2017, organised by Copenhagen University and the Society for Danish Language and Literature. Conference papers can deal with any aspect of Danish, Swedish and Gutnish medieval philology – international perspectives are particularly welcome. We would especially like to encourage early career researchers to send their proposals.

Paper title and abstract must reach the organisers by 13 March 2017.

Please forward this call for papers to others who you think might be interested and also encourage them to register with the Society for East Norse Philology on the society homepage: ostnordiskfilologi.wordpress.com.

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to be able to guarantee that the conference will be subsidised. Travel and accommodation will have to be covered by the participants’ expenses. A list of recommended hotels, guesthouses and hostels will be sent to speakers.

Length of abstract: 250 words
Please send your abstract to Simon Skovgaard Boeck: ss@dsl.dk
Length of paper: 20 minutes + 10 minutes for discussion

Looking forward to seeing you in Copenhagen!
